SECTION 02 · WHY US

Four differentiators

01

Brew-unit rebuild experience

Brew-unit work is the most-frequent Jura repair category. We have rebuilt enough of them — across Z10, X10, GIGA, and legacy WE — that the strip-and-rebuild cycle takes us 60-90 minutes. Most LA shops budget 120-180 or refer the work out.

02

Office-fleet PM contracts

For offices running multiple Juras (executive break room, conference floor, reception lobby), we standardize quarterly PM across the fleet. One vendor, one parts inventory, predictable annual budget.

03

Pre-2020 WE / GIGA 6 legacy parts

WE6, WE8, and GIGA 6 from 2015-2019 are still installed across LA offices. We stock the legacy brew-unit components and milk-system parts.

04

Honest about Jura vs. cheaper alternatives

If your office wants office-volume coffee and budget is tight, a Schaerer Coffee Club or even a strong Bunn pod-style brewer beats a Jura ENA on per-cup cost. The Jura premium is for the espresso quality and the design — both real, but we will say so honestly when the customer’s actual need is volume not espresso.

Jura is the Swiss-built office super-automatic that quietly fills LA executive suites, dental and legal offices, car dealerships, and premium homes. Sealed brew unit means no user-removable maintenance — the trade-off is genuine reliability when serviced correctly and a steeper service-cost curve when not. We service the full lineup including the legacy WE / GIGA 6 platforms.

SECTION 04 · COMMON PROBLEMS

What goes wrong on a Jura

  • P-01

Brew unit failure (most common Jura call)

Jura’s sealed brew unit is rebuildable but not user-serviceable. Skipped maintenance accelerates failure: piston seals, drive gear wear, and pre-brew pressure loss are typical 4-7 year failures depending on cup count. We strip, clean, regrease, replace seals and drive components.

    $280-$520
  • P-02

    Milk system contamination

Jura milk lines clog from milk-protein scaling without daily rinse. Symptom: weak foam, foam quality drop, eventually no foam. Daily rinse cycle is built in but operators skip it. Deep clean is a 60-90 minute service.

    $220-$420
  • P-03

    Heating element / thermoblock failure

Single-thermoblock models (Z10, ENA, E-series) wear faster than dual-thermoblock (X10, GIGA). Element fails at 5-7 years on single, 8-10 on dual under hard-water LA without descaling. Annual descale prevents.

    $320-$580
  • P-04

    Grinder burr wear

Ceramic burrs on most Jura models last 6-8 years under home use, 3-5 years under office use. P.R.G. continuously variable grinder on Z10 has its own service paradigm — motorized adjustment can drift, recalibration is a 30-minute job.

    $220-$380
  • P-05

    Water pump pressure drop

Standard 6-8 year wear item under home use, 4-5 years under office use. Vibratory pump on entry / mid models; ULKA branded. Stocked replacement, 45-minute job.

    $240-$340
  • P-06

    Touchscreen / control board fault

Z10, X10, and GIGA 10 use sophisticated control electronics. Most "screen frozen" calls are firmware-driven and clear with a power cycle. Persistent unresponsive screens are board-level repair — part dispatch through Jura USA in NJ takes 3-7 days.

    $340-$620
SECTION 04 · SERVICE TYPES

From emergency calls
to PM contracts.

S-01

Emergency Espresso Machine Repair

When your espresso machine goes down during morning rush, every hour of downtime is direct lost revenue. We dispatch same-day across LA, Orange County, Inland Empire, San Diego, and Ventura for commercial accounts — one phone call, one technician, one bill. The diagnostic visit credits toward the repair when work proceeds the same day.

S-02

Preventive Maintenance Contracts

A PM contract converts unpredictable repair costs into a predictable annual line item. Quarterly visits cover descaling, group-seal inspection, sprayhead cleaning, milk-system deep clean, software firmware checks, refrigerant-system inspection on hospitality equipment (EPA Section 608 Universal certified), and operator-side training refreshers. Twelve years of PM-contract work across SoCal hospitality, restaurant, and corporate accounts. We standardize the schedule across your fleet — one vendor, one parts inventory, one billing cycle.

S-03

Espresso Machine & Coffee Brewer Repair

We repair commercial espresso machines, coffee brewers, and prosumer machines across 28 brands. Twelve-plus years working on every brand in our catalog. Diagnostic-first pricing means we tell you what is wrong and what it costs before any parts are ordered or work begins. The diagnostic charge ($145) credits toward the repair when work proceeds.

S-04

Espresso Machine Installation

New machine installations require plumbing, electrical, drain routing, water-filter setup, and on-site commissioning. We do all of it. Most LA cafe installs complete in a single 4-8 hour visit if the cabinet, electrical panel, and water supply are ready. We coordinate with general contractors when build-out is in progress.

S-05

Water Filtration for Espresso

Water quality is the single biggest variable affecting espresso machine service life and cup quality — more than machine brand, more than barista skill, more than bean choice. We consult, install, and service water filtration to the Specialty Coffee Association brewing standard across SoCal.

S-06

Used Espresso Machine Refurbishment

A 6-year-old commercial espresso machine on the used market is often a better buy than a new mid-tier machine — if it has been maintained and the price reflects its actual condition. We do refurbishment and resale prep for sellers, buy-side inspection for purchasers, and full restoration for heritage machines. The diagnostic-first workflow protects buyers and sellers equally.

SECTION 07 · FAQ

Frequently asked.

Q-01 How much does Jura repair cost?
Single-issue visits run $185-$580 depending on system. Brew-unit rebuilds run $280-$520. Milk-system deep clean is $220-$420. PM contract on a single Z10 / X10 in office use is approximately $500-$700/year on quarterly intervals.
Q-02 Are you Jura authorized?
We are an independent service provider. Jura USA in Englewood, NJ runs an authorized service network primarily through mail-in repair centers — fine for warranty work, slow for active office service. We are the on-site, same-week alternative across SoCal.
Q-03 My Jura’s brew-unit error came up. Is the machine done?
Almost never. "Brew unit error" on Jura is usually a sensor flag from gear wear or seal failure within the rebuildable brew unit — not a dead machine. Diagnostic visit confirms scope; rebuild typically runs $280-$520 vs. $4,499 replacement on a Z10.
Q-04 Should I keep my 6-year-old Jura or upgrade?
Depends on the model and the failure. A 6-year-old Z10 with a brew-unit issue is worth rebuilding ($280-$520 against $4,499 replacement). A 6-year-old ENA 4 with a heating-element failure ($320-$580 against $999 replacement) is the harder math — we will run it with you. Generally: machines $2,500+ rebuild past 5 years; machines under $1,500 we discuss honestly.
Q-05 Why does Jura use a sealed brew unit instead of removable?
Engineering choice. Sealed brew units have higher precision and lower contamination risk when serviced correctly; the trade-off is no user-side maintenance. Saeco and DeLonghi use removable brew units that owners can clean themselves — lower precision, more self-service. Both designs are legitimate; Jura’s is just less forgiving of skipped maintenance.
Q-06 How often does my Jura need professional service?
Annual descale and milk-system deep clean is the minimum. Office-use Juras need brew-unit inspection at 18-24 months. Home-use Juras can stretch brew-unit service to 24-36 months with disciplined daily rinse and weekly milk cleaning.
Q-07 Can you install a new Jura?
Yes. Jura installations are mostly setup and water-filter commissioning rather than plumbing/electrical (most office Juras run on the integrated water tank, not direct-plumb). One-hour visit for setup plus operator training. Available with any Jura purchase regardless of dealer.
SECTION 08 · CASE STUDY · HONEST OPINION
Recent job

Recent job: 5-year-old Jura GIGA 6 at a Century City law firm executive break room (~30 cups/day). Owner reported "machine completely dead — won’t even boot." Diagnosed: thermal fuse tripped from blocked drainage causing internal water build-up; secondary cause was 4 years of skipped descaling that had reduced heating-element efficiency below thermal-fuse threshold. Cleared the drainage, descaled the boiler, replaced the thermal fuse. Rebuilt the brew unit while we were in there (preventive). Total: 3.5 hours, $620 parts and labor. The "dead" machine was a perfectly good machine that had been ignored for 4 years.

Honest opinion

The biggest reason 5-7 year old Juras "die" is skipped descaling and milk-system maintenance, not actual failure. We have rescued more Juras from operators who thought their machine was done than from machines that were genuinely past saving. If your Jura is throwing errors and an LA shop quoted you a "machine’s done" replacement at $3-5K, get a second opinion before you write the check.
