ECM (Espresso Coffee Machines) is the German prosumer brand that pairs with Profitec under shared ownership. The Synchronika dual-boiler is the cross-shop with Profitec Pro 700 and Rocket R58. ECM’s design language is more polished and visible than Profitec — stainless steel finishes, exposed boiler insulation panels, premium switches and gauges.

View details →Recent job: 6-year-old Synchronika at an Orange County home, owner reported low brew pressure and one minor leak from below the group head. Diagnosed rotary pump bypass valve wear (typical at this age) plus a flattened group seal. Bench-rebuilt the pump bypass, replaced the seal and dispersion screen, recalibrated to 9-bar brew pressure. Total: 2.5 hours, $340 parts and labor. The Synchronika was pulling factory-spec shots the same afternoon.
ECM and Profitec under shared ownership produce mechanically near-identical machines. The visible aesthetic and brand-identity differences are real but the engineering is the same.
