We Pick Up Your Espresso Machine. You Don't Box Anything.

Courier collection and return delivery across Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and Ventura counties. One phone call, one claim check, one written estimate.

Every other way to get an espresso machine repaired makes the transport your problem. Drive it to a shop during their hours and by their appointment. Find the original carton and the foam, box it, and ship it. Or hire a rideshare and hope the driver understands what is in the trunk. Our courier collects it, our shop diagnoses it, our courier brings it back.

PICKUP REPAIR · FIGURES 01–02
FIG. 01 — DIAGNOSTIC CHECK
Technician at a two-group commercial espresso machine on a cafe bar, one hand on the portafilter, the other on the steam knob, reading the gauge
The first ten minutes are pressure, temperature and the group gasket — with the panels on. Most faults show there.
FIG. 02 — GAUGE ON THE GROUP
Hands holding a portafilter pressure gauge in the group of an espresso machine, espresso dripping into a cup
A gauge in the portafilter reads true pressure at the group. Target 9 bar; a needle past 11 means the OPV, under 8 the pump.
SECTION 01 · PROCESS

How it
works.

  1. 01

    Tell us the machine

Make, model, and a photo of the model plate — the sticker on the underside or the back panel. That plate tells us the boiler type, the voltage and the parts family, which is what decides whether the job is a shop job or an on-site job.

  2. 02

We text you the fee in writing

You get the diagnostic fee in writing before anything is scheduled, and you confirm it. No one comes to your door until you have said yes to a number.

  3. 03

Courier collects, you sign a claim check

Our courier comes to your address and takes the machine. You sign a claim check listing the machine, the serial, and its condition at pickup. That document is your receipt and our record — it is what settles any argument about a scratch that was already there.

  4. 04

We diagnose and send a written estimate

The machine goes on the bench at our shop. You get a written estimate: what failed, what it costs in parts and labor, and whether the repair is worth it against the machine’s age and market value.

  5. 05

You approve — or you decline

Approve, and we repair it and deliver it back. Decline, and we deliver it back anyway with nothing further owed beyond the diagnostic you already agreed to. There is no restocking charge, no return-shipping charge, and no pressure to proceed.

SECTION 02 · PRICE

The diagnostic
fee.

$145

$145 diagnostic — includes pickup from your address and return delivery. $60 is credited toward the repair when you approve an estimate of $200 or more.

Every price we charge is published on the pricing page. Pickup and return delivery are inside that number, not billed on top of it. You approve the fee in writing before the courier is scheduled, and you approve the repair estimate separately after the machine is on the bench.

More than one repair on the same machine

When one machine needs more than one repair, the second and any further job on that machine is 20% off. The machine is already open and already on the bench — you should not pay twice to get it there.

Warranty

90 days on labor and installed parts, stated here in writing and repeated on your invoice. Not covered: water quality, missed cleaning, operating error. If the same fault comes back inside 90 days, the return trip is on us.

SECTION 03 · INSTANT QUOTE · PRICE BEFORE CONTACT DETAILS

What will it cost?

Six questions, then your price. You see it before we ask for your name — no callback needed to find out what a service costs.

01 What kind of machine is it?

Photograph the model plate and tell us what the machine is doing, and we confirm in writing whether it is a pickup job or an on-site visit — plus the fee — before anything is scheduled. If you already know the machine needs servicing rather than repair, go straight to flat-rate maintenance. If it failed mid-shift in a cafe, that is emergency dispatch, not a pickup. The full scope of what we do on the bench is on the repair page.

SECTION 04 · LOGISTICS

What we can
and can't collect.

We collect

  • Countertop machines under 70 lbs
  • Single courier

That covers effectively every home machine — super-automatics, prosumer E61 platforms, Breville, Jura, DeLonghi, and the single-boiler entry machines.

Two-person handling

  • 70 to 100 lbs
  • Any weight up stairs without an elevator

Additional charge, quoted before the courier is booked, never after. This is the band a Linea Mini at 70 lbs and a GS3 at 75 lbs sit in — they travel, they just do not travel on one pair of hands.

We come to you instead

  • Over 100 lbs
  • Plumbed into a water line
  • More than one group head
  • Any machine in a business that can't stop serving

A plumbed machine is not a pickup job. Disconnecting a water line and a drain to move a machine creates a second problem, and the reconnection is where the leaks start.

PICKUP REPAIR · FIGURES 03–04
FIG. 03 — SETTINGS ON THE DISPLAY
Hand pressing a button on the lit display of a bean-to-cup home espresso machine, notebook beside it
Grind, dose and temperature live in the menu. Half of “weak coffee” calls end at a settings reset, not a repair.
FIG. 04 — CLEAN POUR
White cup under the group of an espresso machine, espresso pouring in an even stream, crema forming
A steady, tapering stream with crema is the result we sign off on — the shot is the test, not the gauge.
SECTION 05 · TURNAROUND

How long you're
without it.

3–5 business days is typical, measured collection to return. Rush handling is available.

The honest constraint is parts, not bench time. A descale, a group rebuild or a brew-unit service is a same-week job because everything it needs is on the shelf. A control board for a Jura Z-series or a specific thermoblock is a parts-pipeline job, and we tell you that with a date on the written estimate rather than moving the goalposts week by week. If the machine is due for servicing rather than broken, the flat-rate path is maintenance and it runs on the same 3–5 day cycle.

SECTION 06 · COVERAGE

Where we
collect.

  • Los Angeles County
  • Orange County
  • Riverside County
  • San Bernardino County
  • San Diego County
  • Ventura County

All six counties we dispatch technicians to. Each has its own regional number — see the footer, or the full breakdown by city on our coverage pages.

SECTION 07 · FLAT FEE, ESTIMATED REPAIR

What the numbers
on this page are.

The $145 diagnostic is a flat fee. It does not move, and pickup and return are inside it.

Repair prices are estimates. What a repair costs depends on what the machine turns out to need and on parts availability, so you get a written estimate after the diagnosis, and nothing is charged above it without your approval.

SECTION 08 · CASE STUDY · HONEST OPINION
Representative job

Representative job, not a specific customer. The diagnostic fee is our published rate. The repair figures are typical for this work — your own price comes in a written estimate before anything is done. An E61 prosumer machine, home use, no service in several years. Reported: shots pulling slow and uneven, the pressure gauge never settling. How the job runs: we send the diagnostic fee in writing and you confirm it, the courier collects the machine and you sign a claim check, the machine goes on the bench, we send a written estimate, you approve it, we do the work and the courier brings it back. On a machine in this condition we expect to find a restricted gicleur, a hardened group gasket, a carbonised shower screen, and an OPV drifted off 9 bar. The estimate: $269 for the E61 group rebuild, plus $199 before the discount for clearing the gicleur and checking the expansion valve — that second job comes off 20% because the machine is already open — and $60 of the diagnostic comes off because the estimate is over $200. About three hours on the bench; three to five business days from collection to return. Had you declined the estimate, the machine goes back and nothing beyond the $145 diagnostic is owed.

Honest opinion

The transport is the part people get wrong, not the repair. A 40-pound E61 machine riding in a rideshare trunk with a full boiler is how a case gets dented and a group gasket gets flattened in the same afternoon, and we have taken in machines that were in worse shape on arrival than when the owner handed them over. The less profitable half of that honesty: slow, uneven shots on a machine nobody has descaled in years are often not a group rebuild at all. Pull the shower screen and look at it before you book anything. If that is all it is, we will say so on the estimate and you will have spent $145 to find out — which is still money you did not need to spend.

SECTION 09 · FAQ

Frequently asked.

Q-01 Do I need to box the machine?
No. That is the entire point of this service. You do not need the original carton, packing foam, a shipping label, or a trip to a carrier counter. Our courier handles the machine and transports it in our own padding.
Q-02 What does the diagnostic cost?
$145 diagnostic — includes pickup from your address and return delivery. $60 is credited toward the repair when you approve an estimate of $200 or more. You approve that fee in writing before the courier is scheduled.
Q-03 What if I decline the estimate?
We bring the machine back and you owe nothing beyond the diagnostic fee you already agreed to. No return charge, no restocking charge. You keep the written estimate, which is worth having if you take the machine elsewhere or decide to sell it.
Q-04 How long does it take?
Three to five business days is typical, measured from collection to return. Rush handling is available when the parts are on the shelf — ask when you book, because it depends on what the machine turns out to need.
Q-05 What if my machine is too heavy or plumbed in?
Under 70 lbs and it travels with a single courier. From 70 to 100 lbs, or any weight up stairs without an elevator, it travels with two people and an additional charge we quote before the courier is booked. Over 100 lbs, plumbed into a water line, more than one group head, or sitting in a business that cannot stop serving: we come to you instead. We tell you which path applies when you send the model plate, not after the courier arrives.
Q-06 Are my machine and my address covered while it is out of my hands?
You sign a claim check at pickup that records the machine, its serial number and its condition, and that document is the reference for the whole job — it is what settles any question about a mark that was already there. We photograph the machine from four sides and the serial plate before it leaves your address, and you get a copy on the spot. We work under California BHGS Reg. #A49573.
SECTION 11 · DISPATCH REQUEST

Don't move it
yourself.

Send us the model and a photo of the model plate. We confirm the fee in writing, collect the machine from your address, and bring it back.
