Built-in coffee machine repair. In the cabinet it lives in.
Gaggenau, Thermador, Wolf, Miele CVA, Bosch and the rest of the cabinet-integrated machines, serviced on site across Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, the Inland Empire and Ventura. The unit stays in your kitchen.
California Bureau of Household Goods and Services Reg. #A49573 · Fully insured for on-site work
A built-in coffee machine is a bean-to-cup machine installed like a wall oven: fixed into a cabinet column, fed from an outlet nobody can see, and on some models from a water line as well. Inside, it is a machine we open every week. Outside, it is a piece of somebody’s kitchen, and that is the part most repair shops are not set up for.

The machine is ordinary.
The installation is not.
The cabinet
To reach anything behind the chassis, the unit is pulled forward on its rails or lifted out of the niche. The trim, the door and the appliance fronts either side cost more than the repair. They are masked before the unit moves, and anything already out of line is shown to you first.
The water
On a plumbed model the supply line and its shutoff sit under the counter or behind the unit. A leak there ruins cabinetry, not just a machine. So the first thing we do on a plumbed unit is find the valve and prove that it closes.
Power and heat
The outlet is behind the unit, often on a circuit shared with something it should not share. The enclosure holds heat. A starved supply and a slowly cooked control board both look like a faulty machine, and both are ruled out before a part is quoted.
Who built
what is behind the door.
Three families cover nearly every built-in in Southern California. Knowing which one you have decides where the parts come from and how long they take.
BSH platform
Gaggenau, Thermador, Bosch, Siemens and Neff share one platform. Parts cross-reference across all five names, which is what gets an imported Siemens repaired in California.

De’Longhi-built
The Wolf Coffee System and the Fisher & Paykel EB24 and EB30 are built by De’Longhi on one platform. The service documents call the brew unit an infuser.
Identified on site
Dacor and built-in Smeg are ordered strictly against the rating plate. We do not publish a platform claim we have not verified.
Miele’s own design
The Miele CVA shares its platform with nobody. No substitute parts exist, and every part is ordered from Miele against the model and serial.
Nine faults,
one of them urgent.
- Brew unit jammed. Every one of these mechanisms parks in a rest position and locks away from it. After a power cut mid-cycle it is stranded. It is driven home electrically, never levered.
- Ceramic or drainage valve stuck. Scale seizes the valve that routes water between brewing and draining. Water reaches the drip tray and not the cup.
- Door or lock switch. The machine will not run unless it believes the front is closed. Cabinet work elsewhere in the kitchen is enough to move a door out of reach of its switch.
- Drain pump and drip tray. A tray that is not seated overflows behind the fascia for weeks before anyone sees water.
- Grinder motor and burrs. A stone in the beans, or oily beans bridging above the burrs. One is a repair, the other is a ten-minute clearance.
- Thermoblock and heater. Scale first, then a heater whose insulation breaks down warm and trips the kitchen’s ground-fault protection.
- Control board. Usually heat. An enclosure built tighter than the installation drawing cooks the electronics over years.
- Milk system. Narrow passages, dried milk, skipped rinse programmes. The most common call and the least serious.
- Water connection, on plumbed units. The one fault that damages the kitchen rather than the machine. It is checked on every visit to a plumbed unit, whatever the reported problem.
How we work
in a finished kitchen.
Average dispatch in LA County is under 4 business hours on weekdays; you get the arrival window on the call, before you hang up. Outside LA County the window is agreed on the call, and for La Jolla or Rancho Santa Fe we ask for a photo of the open front and the rating plate first, so the right parts make the drive.
Floor runners go down from the door to the kitchen. The counter nearest the unit is covered and tools never rest on stone. Shoe covers are worn in the house. We take no photographs of the interior of the home, and a non-disclosure agreement is signed on request, before the visit.
We service a built-in where it stands. It is removed from the home only when the repair cannot be done in place, and that decision is made with the owner. You get a written estimate before any work, and nothing above it is done without your approval.

Rare here,
not refused.
- Jenn-Air JJB6424. Built-in coffee system from the Jenn-Air appliance wall. Identified by plate, serviced in place.
- Bertazzoni CM242WTXT. Seen in Bertazzoni-matched kitchens. Parts come from Italy and the lead time is quoted before you approve.
- AEG and Electrolux KKK / KKE series. European imports. We check how the unit is fed electrically before diagnosing anything else.
- KitchenAid European built-in. Not sold here; arrives with relocated households. Supply and parts routing come first.
- V-ZUG. Swiss, rare, and always part of a complete V-ZUG kitchen. Serviced with the same cabinet discipline as a Gaggenau.
- Küppersbusch. German import. A handful in the LA area, usually in architect-specified kitchens.
- De Dietrich. French import. We tell you on the first call whether parts are realistic.
- Asko. Scandinavian import, matched to Asko ovens. Plate first, parts second.
- Barazza. Italian, flush-mounted. The fascia is the delicate part and is wrapped before the unit moves.
- Teka. Spanish import. Serviced where parts can be sourced; we say so before the diagnostic if they cannot.
Where these kitchens
actually are.
Most of our built-in calls come from five areas: Beverly Hills, Bel Air and Holmby Hills; Pacific Palisades, Malibu and Brentwood; Calabasas, Hidden Hills and Encino; Newport Beach and Laguna Beach; and La Jolla and Rancho Santa Fe. We cover the rest of the five counties as well. The call is often placed by an estate manager, a kitchen designer or the appliance dealer who sold the unit, and that works fine.
What it costs
to find out.
$145 diagnostic — a technician comes to you. It is credited in full toward the repair when you approve the estimate.
What the repair costs depends on what we find. You get a written estimate before anything is done, and you can decline it — we bring the machine back and nothing further is owed.
Every other price we charge is on the pricing page. A countertop machine is a different route: it travels to the bench.
