The grinder is a job, not an afterthought
Most shops treat a grinder as something they glance at while the machine is on the bench. Burrs get measured against the wear spec here, and the grind gets set on your beans before it goes back.
Fiorenzato Bricoletta and the F-series grinders — F64 EVO, F64 EVO PRO, F83. Collected from your address across Los Angeles, Orange County, Inland Empire, San Diego and Ventura, and returned serviced.

Fiorenzato publishes a kilogram figure for burr life. We ask what the bar actually pushes through and work the replacement date from that, which is usually sooner than the owner expected on a busy bar and later on a quiet one.
A Bricoletta service and a grinder service are two different jobs. You get two figures and you can take one, the other, or both. Nothing is bundled to make a number look better.
The Bricoletta group is the same E61 casting we work on across Rocket, Profitec, ECM and Lelit. The parts are on the truck already.
If we're on a job or it's after hours, this form is the fastest way to get on the schedule. Tell us the machine and what it's doing — we call or text back with a diagnostic estimate and an arrival window.

Most people meet Fiorenzato as a grinder company, and most of our Fiorenzato calls are grinders. The Bricoletta is the machine side of the same firm: a single-group heat-exchanger with an E61 group, a 1.25 litre boiler and a thermosiphon loop feeding the group. Machine and grinder are separate jobs at separate prices, and we quote them that way rather than bundling.
Single-group heat exchanger, E61 group, 1.25L boiler with a thermosiphon loop to the group, volumetric pump, brew and steam gauges. Stainless frame and body.
64mm flat burrs, stepless adjustment, on-demand dosing. The most common Fiorenzato on an LA bar and the one we service most.
83mm flat burrs. More burr surface, cooler running under back-to-back dosing, longer interval between burr changes than the 64mm machines.
Titanium-treated burrs offered across the F range. Fiorenzato rates them for a longer service life than the standard steel set; the grind reference still has to be reset after a change.
Earlier control boards and a different collar mechanism. Still on plenty of LA bars. Burr sets and collars are still obtainable.
These grinders rarely die. They wander — shot times creep, the barista dials in a little more each week, and nobody notices the burrs are the cause. Fiorenzato rates a standard burr set for roughly 400-600 kg of coffee. Weigh what the bar goes through and the replacement date stops being a guess.
At fine espresso settings the chute packs with fines and the grinder sounds like it is working while nothing reaches the portafilter. Stripping and clearing the chute and exit path fixes it; the home remedy of running grain through is a delay, not a repair.
New burr edges cut differently until they have seasoned, so the zero point moves and the first bag through tells you very little. We set a reference dose and time on your beans, then re-check after real volume rather than signing off on the first shot.
Standard E61 service life. The group gasket flattens under heat cycling, the shower screen blinds over, and the cam and spring stack dries out. Symptom is a group that drips at rest and channels under pressure.
The loop between boiler and group is where scale settles first on a heat exchanger. What the barista notices is brew temperature moving across a shift while the boiler gauge sits still. Annual descale prevents it; once it is there the loop has to come apart.
Volumetric pump on the Bricoletta. Read pressure at the group with a portafilter gauge, not off the panel gauge, then set it at the OPV. A gauge reading 9 bar at the pump and 7 at the group is the common finding.
The Bricoletta is a single-group E61 heat exchanger and prices with the E61 machines.F64 and F83 grinders are their own job — standalone, or cheaper alongside a machine service.
Two flat figures rather than one, because most Fiorenzato owners need the grinder done and not the machine.

Most Fiorenzato calls come out of house kitchens and small offices, so the dispatch pattern follows the residential grid: Fiorenzato repair in Hollywood, Fiorenzato repair in Ventura County, Fiorenzato repair in Long Beach, Fiorenzato repair in Beverly Hills, Fiorenzato repair in Santa Monica and Fiorenzato repair in Pasadena. Same technician, same rates everywhere on the grid — 25 cities across five counties, same-day when the schedule allows.
Representative job: F64 EVO on a Highland Park bar, shots creeping from 27 seconds to 34 over about two months with no recipe change. Burrs measured past the wear spec — the bar was going through roughly 12 kg a week and had never changed a set in three years, which is well beyond the published interval. New burrs, chute and exit path cleared, grind set to a reference dose on their current beans, re-checked after two days of real volume. Total: 2 hours, $265 parts and labor.
Grinder burrs are the least glamorous and highest-leverage thing on most bars. We see cafes spend four thousand dollars upgrading a machine when a two-hundred-dollar burr set and a proper reference setting would have made a bigger difference in the cup. If your shots have been slowly getting worse and nobody can say why, weigh your bean throughput before you shop for hardware.
